Thank you William :-) 6 hours of Apple frustrations finally solved!
This is ridiculous. But it is the only thing that I found worked. I was waiting for an update as I have spent years addressing PC issues - and I am over being an unpaid computer consultant solving these software / computer giants incompetence. Was not about to start for Apple - you saved me - thank-you William!
It's not complicated Apple - We Just Want it to WORK! That's what made you successful, do not forget it Tim Cook!
How do you turn off the firewall?
(note i am seeing this on an iPhone 5)
Someone previously posted that had an Apple 4 iphone and the newest version of music player with the suggestion that a hard reset be performed. I did this and lo and behold I can now sync my music.
I myself just recently updated my Iphone 4 to 7.1, and that all my apple products are up to date. I have some difficulty syncing my music onto my phone, but recently, i disabled my firewall and "authorised" my computer and re-created my playlist, my music is sync after this tedeious process;
(Windows 8 64bit for your information)
1. Disable firewall
2. Check that you have disabled "Sync Music"
3. Sync device
4. Check that your computer/laptop is authorised if it is, continue to step 5
5. remove divice
6. count to around 20-25 seconds, then re-connect device.
7. Backup/sync device (dont altar anything ie; enable "sync music")
8. Re-create your playlist
9. Sync your music
10. Enable firewall after sync is complete.
After doing this, you should be able to go back to doing your normal routine without doing this procedure, I think the problem was the Authorising of the computer under "store".
