Wifi issues with Lion 10.7.2 update?

I, like a lot of others am having trouble with my wifi on lion 10.7.2. I honestly don't think my problem is as serious as the others. I downloaded lion when it came out to avail of icloud etc. It has always worked perfectly up until yesterday. Since i did a software update yesterday it has messed my wifi up. When i put my macbook to sleep and wake it up, the wifi disconnects but once it reconnects, it takes my browsers 3-5 mins to agknowledge the connection and work!

I feel that this must be a minor issue as it has only arisen in the last 24 hours, Excuse the lay-terms but i'm by no means a tech head. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Same problem here.

Wifi comes and goes as it wishes... usually can be fixed turning off and on again the wifi connection on the upper bar. But it's not the way a 1500 euro computer should work, isn't it?

Also, I've noticed a slowdown... I've got 50 Mb connection, and wifi it's just SO SLOW on my macbook pro... got a Sony Vaio, and wifi works great. Same speed as with cable.

Let's hope someone at apple reads this, and try to fix it.

I have now gone for nearly a month with no wifi issues. What I did was went to the Genius Bar and admitted the problem was way beyond my limited abilities. What we did was reset Safari, and deleted all of the locations ( except automatic ) in the network section of system preferences, we also ran a diagnostic to verify my 2011 MBP was fully functional. Once this was done I had no wifi issues until I got home. My 4 or 5 year old LinkSys router and my MBP did not play well together. So out of frustration I went to the Apple store and bought an Airport Extreme and I'm very happy to report that all is well on the wifi front. I don't like throwing hardware at a problem but some where on this subject I saw someone else do the same and it worked.

I am still a little angry with Apple since they still seem to think there is no problem and if they ignore the 100 plus pages on this issue alone it will somehow fix itself.

The plus of buying a new Airport Extreme, my wifi at home is smoking fast now.

I still love Apple and would never own anyting else.
