how do i access my photostream on icloud on the web

I want to be able to access my photostream photos in the cloud while at a public computer (or a friend's computer).

How do I access the cloud photos without having to view them on one of my devices?

In iPhoto, select iCloud on the left. Make sure your device is set to share photos to your iCloud account [learn more].

Drop your photos there.

Then on the right, you'll see a pane that summarizes your iCloud photos, and on the bottom right, check the box "Public Website" which will allow anyone with the link to view the photostream.

All the setup is tied into iPhoto and the the devices so much that its impossible to setup with out them and the optionsa re just not very good. I would gladly pay for the old Mobile ME galleries and so in the form of a paid SmugMug membership. I can easily limit who has access, they deisplay neatly, and its all web based so I can easily do it when I travel from anywhere. Everything that I use to be able to do with Mobile ME galleries. Skydrive, Drop Box, etc are nice but they all have limititations.

I too am so frustrated with icloud and anything to do with photos. It failed to properly back up and restore my photos when performing a OS system update on an ipad, such that half of my photos got deleted. When I called Apple, they were very apologetic, but couldn't restore my photos from the cloud--they said they had gone missing--MISSING???? 6 months worth of photos???? That's what I pay them for when I upgraded to increase my storage amount? Thank goodness for google--the google service was automatically backing up the photos and videos.

Are you indicating that you are using the iCloud Photo Library beta site, that you imported all of your photos to it, and they went missing? Or are you indicating that you were attempting to restore photos from an iCloud backup? If it is the latter, then the only items which are backed up in iCloud are your Camera Roll and 1 month or 1000 PhotoStream photos, whichever comes first. The PhotoStream photos, in this case, do not use any portion of your iCloud storage - only the Camera Roll does.

Cheers,
