Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
I have created a new apple id in my name, ive gone through the process, gone to verify when i verify i get the message Your request could not be completed. This email address is no longer associated with Apple ID, the first part of the email is the same as my other apple id, but the last part is completely different, i cant find anywhere to get any help, does anyone know what i should do next?

Same problem here, reading a few other threads on this site i can find lots of others with same problem... nothing can be fount and no support numbers anywhere..
tried a few internet browsers to see if that worked any better but no luck
when are they going to fix this? surely they want people to buy stuff from the store one would think.
same, first apple product ever for me, my iphone 4s today, and i cant get apps, or go to itunes, not a great first iimpression
It's quite frustrating, i've just bought it and know i'm stuck.

I had the same issue:
Set up the mail first on ur phone/iPad , go to the verify email in ur mail app, not in ur hotmail/gmail account , and clicking on the verify link worked for me this time!
I had been trying with both the Web Client (for the email account) and the Mail App. I think it is a matter of heavy load on Apple's verification servers. Finally it did work by clicking on the email from the Mail App.

I keep trying to verify my email and says its already in use Or you may have an apple I'd already.......something like that but I dint understand when I just signed up today and I tried with 3 diff email Accra please help me sooooo confused and aggy

Same here. I actually got it to verify at one point but it still doesnt let me access the app store. They keep sending me the verify emails now but when I sign into it to verify it, it says that it is already verified. But the app store and everything else tells me its not.
Seriously depressed over this.

Not working for me either. Got a new Ipod Touch today and keeps telling me its already in use or I already have an apple id! Just keeps letting me reset my password and keeps sending me the vertification emails. I get them open them, click on the vertifiy email address and then am back at square one!

I think I might have figured it out. This was happening to me for hours last night while setting up my mother's new iPad.
When creating a password for an Apple ID, the password rules say that you can't have 3 CONSECUTIVE or repeating numbers. However, if you do have 3 consecutive numbers, Apple does not reject the password. But then when you go to verify the account from the email link, you get the error: This email address is already in use or you may already have an Apple ID associated with this email address. Please try again or sign in using your existing Apple ID.
It's a bogus error because it's a screwy situation that should be never happen. The password should have been rejected upon creation.
After I noticed this, I changed the password, no consecutive numbers, and it worked! Whew, only spent 4 hours of Thanksgiving family time on this.
