Apple! U r the company of bastUrds! This is my official complaint! This issue has been facing ur customers since the ios 5 reveal and we have no official fix of this problem till now! I'm very frustrated of ur policy to us! U think that if u r on the TOP so u can do nothing...thats very dissapointing! I'm going to sell my 3gs and upgrade it to Lumia 900 as never had problems with Nokia!

I am having the same problem and it is sooo frustrating. In fact, everytime I change areas this starts happening.... until I get a text message then it stops. The worst is that anyone who sends me a text message (not an imessage) while my phone is restarting doesn't get delivered...... EVER !!

My issue here is that I don't have a data plan, but only wi-fi ...

I tried removing SIM, toggle wi-fi then insert SIM back but it din't solve the problem.

any ideas?

This won't apply to most, not can even prove it's a solution. But I found on the day I was encountering this problem that my China Mobile SIM card balance was -575.00 RMB (live in Shanghai....China Mobile works on a pre-paid system...I'm a "VIP" thus get a 500 RMB debt allowance before services shut down and must re-fill the card) by chance when my texts stopped sending that day. WHen I topped the card up back into the black, the problem ceased immediately! I also noticed that the same day my China business email account had stopped sending emails, which was very odd and also ceased when I paid my Mobile debt.

Just putting this out there...I know it sounds a bit conspiracle but then again, This is China!😁

I got some clue from reading the posts here and so far this technique seem to be woking for me. In particular after reading on a post about low battery as a contributing issue I pulled out the battery and there were sign of corrosion on the back of the case at the connection pins supplying power to the main board. I cleaned that off and also took a Q-tip with 50/50 water/alcohol and clean the area around the back of the pins. There was not much coming off visible but the phone is working until now even at 50% battery remaining. In addition, I peeled off the yellow tape covering a small electronic board a the end of the battery and clean off some debris there. Also give a good air spray around since the phone is open and remove as much debris as possible (take care not to spray all the loose screws). I think the debris accumulated overtime could be a factor. Good luck!

Hello Saad,

I have been facing the same problem since 1 month. I tried all the restorations, change of Ios etc, but nothing could help. I read the article and it helped me a little.

I have 3gs with 6.1.3 ios and i could not enable the 3G and Mobile data when the sim is removed from the mobile. Please gimme a solution to prevent my phone from restarting a multiple times. Please get back to me as soon as possible.

Hey Saad, I got a bit of a challenge with my iPhone 3g here, seems like your the person to ask for help, so my iPhone has the same problem as everyone else here. and I would follow your steps.... but my iPhone is in the screen that you see when you buy an iPhone new/factory default! It still has my passcode but when I enter it in it goes straight to "connect to iTunes' and gives me the iTunes symbol. I do this and yet as soon as it starts to do anything, it restarts! So to recap, my iPhone has the restarting problem, I can't toggle 3g because it is stuck in the "connect to iTunes screen" and I can't reinstall through iTunes because my **** phone keeps restarting! this kind of stuff always happens to me. Big thanks to anyone who has a go at solving the case of this iPhone!

Cheers

Max.
