Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT

Looks like no one’s replied in a while. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question.

iTunes Artwork Chang Arrow has gone?

I have back, front and CD covers for the majority of my iTunes playlists. WHY WHY WHY Apple has somebody decide to get rid of the arrow in the iTunes artwork window to change the artwork? WHY WHY WHY has somebody also decided that you can no longer highlight all the album tracks and drag multiple pieces of artwork onto the artwork window?

Like several aspects of Lion these are backward steps. Please show some respect to the massive amount of work that many of us have done on iTunes and leave things alone!

Hey, yeah I looked at that page "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ITunes_version_history" and it only has iTunes version 11 filled out all the rest of the versions are blank.

Click the Show buttons to uh, show more details.

I kinda want to be sure before I downgrade... 😉

Well somebody has to experiment in order to find out. Since you're the one that wants the feature I vote you take one pace forward. 😝

Humm... no where in the version history does it tell me when they took out the arrows that let's us change the artwork for the song that we are playing or have selected.

I can only download (from Apple) version 10.3.1 and version 9.2.1. I'm going to try 10.3.1 first and if my arrows are not present I will have to go back to 9.2.1 (I know that they are in that version) LOL!

Well it is if you are like me and only have an old PPC G5 Gray Metal Tower 😎 (6 GB of RAM, need to go up to 8 GB since I am now using Leopard)... OSX 10.5.8 is a far as I can go and on iTunes it was 10.5.3 I think?

Anyway I just updated my iTunes to 10.4.1 and it's confirmed, the arrows to change artwork are still there and the GUI is greatly improved... so I am happy now... 🙂 I will stay where I am at. ✅

Thanks for all the help.

P.S. that web site you gave me oldapps.com? It is mostly PC stuff, do you know of a website that has Mac G5 PPC software that I can download or buy? I need to restore some old PPC G5 apps that were lost in my massive

hard drive crash. BTW, this time machine thing, when I am going through the days the restore button is always grayed out... How do we restore from Time Machine?
