Hey all
FCPX is rendering my project again each time I restart it up or each time I open it up again after a reboot.
I dont think its a FULL re-render as it doesnt take a huge amount of time, but yet its still doing it.
I have allowed my project to FULLY render each time before I close the program.
Any ideas?
iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.7)
Same stuff happening to me too... Close out FCP X after timeline is rendered and bang have to re-render???
What vesion of FCP? What version created the project?

I archived off a copy of the video for safe keeping and burned it to disc. Quit FCPX.
Went back into FCPX a few minutes later and guess what? Yep, its rendering it AGAIN.

It's only fixed in projects created in 10.0.3. The titles or effects would have to recreated in a 10.0.3 project to prevent this. Simply copying and pasting into a new project will not fix it.

Does rerendering a 10.0.2 project in 10.0.3 not "Recreate the effects/titles" in 10.0.3 format?
It would seem weird that it wouldnt. As this just doesnt sound like a fix to me otherwise?
Rendering just creates QuickTime files and has nothing to do with the titles in the project and how they behave.

OK, I guess I'm using incorrect wording here then for the term "Rendering" then.
I'm on about FCPX 10.0.3 recreating (waiting for the orange bar to disappear) tiltes/effects each time I load a project. But so far Ive only had this with projects created in FCPX 10.0.2
No, you're using the right word. The problem is in the project file and the text. When it closes and reopens the titles and effects apepar to have altered and therefore need to be re-rendered. This is probably linked to the problem where titles were resetting themselves to the default state when the application was closed.
Yes, I've created quite a few projects, even just now, all in 10.0.3 and every time I open the project, all parts of the video with titles over it, always re-render. Quite a bugger if it's a complex render with other multiple tracks & transitions.
I make a habit of opening FCPX & doing something else while I wait for it to render all the titles again.
I haven't really complained about it because at least now the titles do seem to render what's actually in the title - which is progress of a kind ;-)
One funny thing I noticed, considering how much trouble we had with the title rendering bug, is that one time the thumbnail that shows for a compound clip (that has a title in it) renders the word "Title" instead of what the title actually is - which is similar to the old bug. It renders correctly & everything is correct, just the thumbnail showed "Title". Maybe it's on purpose.

I started with version 10.0 and currently at 10.3. I haven't updated to 10.4 yet.
