YOUTUBE CHOPPY PLAYBACK... HELP ANYONE?

Youtube videos are choppy. Whenever I watch a video it will glitch several times throughout playback. I've loaded videos completely and then disconected from the internet and get the same issue. I've also tried re-installing the Flash Player and changing the display settings but to no avail. This is exteremely annoying because the Youtube video/audio will stop for like a 10th of a second and then keeps playing and this happens about every 30 secs while watching videos. I know its nothing to do with my network connection.. as this glitching happens even If I dissonect from the internet after allowing the video to load up completely.

SPecs:

-MBP was purchased about 1.5 years ago,

-Mac OS X (10.6.8)

-Processor 2.66 GHz Intel Core i7

-Memory 4 GB RAM, 1067 MHz DDR3.

-Most recent version on Flash PLayer

Everything else on the laptop seems to be working fine.

My problem is still persisting for me too such that Youtube is unwatchable. I'd seriously consider returning to PC on my next laptop...

The whole delete data, un/reinstall Flash thing hasn't worked for me, and neither has changing browser. The only thing that has worked (though not without the occasional glitch) is creating a new Mac user account then watching the video in that. Hardly the smooth 'Apple' experience though....!

I was able to d/l the uninstaller and then redownload flash. I think I did everything.

Did you repair permissions and then restarted your computer afterwards? This is recommended by Adobe.

I can't even watch a utube vid on Safari with my MAC. I cut and paste the url into my Firefox browser, and it's smooth as silk.

Having experienced somewhat similar issue with choppy flash video playback, I reported a problem to Adobe. They have confirmed the bug #3200752: “We’ve been able to reproduce this internally, and while it might not make our next release (due out in just a few weeks) we will investigate this for a future build. I’d like to recommend letting other user’s know about this issue and have them vote and comment so that we can adjust and prioritize accordingly.” More details: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3992986.

I am also suffering the youtube pausing problem but am not allowed to even view the link you posted. I do not know how widespread this problem is, but if it affects all Macs then I suspect that whomever runs YouTube will want it fixed sooner rather than later...

Repairing permissions, emptying the caches and restarting did not help with the choppy playback.

OSX.7.5 on a Dual 2.8GHz quad-core MacPro.
