Logic 7.2.......Well I guess no posts = good news :-)

Hi all,

Logic 7.2.......Well I guess no posts = good news 🙂

Surely, if all **** were breaking loose for those brave souls that installed 7.2 today, they would be posting "Bloody Murder" rants.....

I take it alol is well then?

Cmon guys, some tidbits.....have automation issues been resolved? etc, etc, etc....

Are you kidding Stephen? Very few of us (especially those who earn an income with this stuff) would download something the day after it was out. Especially with all the new code stuff etc.

And anyone thinking about it should install it on another computer or system if possible before changing your main one.

My 2 cents

My 7.2 arrived today as well... BUT I'M WAITING.

Why? Monday at 10am I go in for mastering, finally, after 1.5 years of work on this album. Within the next 48 hours, I have to bounce my songs to 24-bit AIFFs once and for all.

Thus, now is probably not the best time to experiment. >;-P

Yeah unbelievable!

So basicaly, $50 to support a machine that isnt shipping yet? Hmmm bargain!

I wont be "crossgrading" until they fix the SIDS problem (although now ive mentioned sids this thread will be deleted)

So logic 7 is nearly 2 years old and whopping great bugs still exist. But yet we can interface with garageband that comes free with the os?

I started using DP 4.6 in novemeber and its rock solid, but theres so much i miss from logic. I guess like many they will be exploring the Pro Tools 7 route as i have heard the midi stuff is pretty cool now.

I really love logic, but with no sign whatsoever of fixing the sids problem I will have to explore other options which to be honest im not looking forward too - afterall thats why i chose logic in the first place!

It wouldnt be so bad if there was a forum where apple would give some indication of whats going on, or failing that employ a "product champion" for the prodcut that can make us at least feel like they hear us.

The unfortunate thing is that most of the threads that post problems are deleted (like im guessing this will be) - and so any chance of the programmers actually knowing what probels we are getting are pretty slim (yes i do post to the apple feedback too).

I love logic, just like all the people that post negative things do - all it is is frustration, frustration that is so rightly justified.

Apple, please give us somehwere else to rant if this isnt the place! - we love logic!

**! How can they let such a major bug continue in their product?

the answer is simple if a company doesn't listen to its customers how are they going to be able to solve their problems

instead they build what makes them happy not what we need

up to now i still haven't got 100 confirmation if apple do listen to us

we'll keep buying rubbish update until hopefully what we need is fix and that is gonna be along time

but for the main time just like what some users say in this forum "get the update and hope it fix something" it sounds dumb but thats the only choice

because i love logic otherwise i wouldn't be in this forum complaining, i'll be in the FCP forum as many people say they don't complain as much as us

i agree 100% gamesound.

i joined the forum to campaign for the score editor to by updated. i won't be buying the 7.2 update either - there is nothing in there that i need. it doesn't sound like they have even looked at the score editor much less fix the bugs in it.

so i'm not going to waste my time with 7.2 and i strongly recommend to everyone that they think carefully before doing the upgrade. if it doesn't have what you want or need then why pay?

if they find sales of 7.2 are really down compared to 7.1 then they might stop and ask why.
