aperture 3.2.2 does not erase photos from memory card after importing

I have updated my Mac to Snow Leopard 10.6.8, I have Aperture 3.2.2 with all recent updates. After importing photos from memory card (flash) I am asked if I want to delete photos and reject card. It happens (I'm not sure if all the times) that even if I click "erase" and after I confirm this, the photos are not erased. I need to do it manually... Not a big problem, but in a workflow it's not comfortable.

Me too, Aperture did not erase the SD card in the card reader, neither when I imported all images nor when I imported selected images:

AP 3.2.2, MacOS 10.7.2, MBP 13"

I'm not too concerned about it - usually the camera knows best how to erase the card safely.

Nikon D3100 SanDisk 8gb card. Aperture crashes when requesting to delete images after import. Just recently updated to current version.

As a side note, also had a problem updating Aperture and 2 copies were showing up, but neither opened. Then had to redownload and install from App Store. So I was worried something was wrong with my installation. Guess it's a bug with the new version.

I found this thread because Aperture was refusing to delete photos after an import. I wasn't experiencing crashes, though.

After close inspection, I found that the write protect switch for the card I was using was being pushed to the 'read only' position when I inserted the SD card. So, pay close attention to your card/adapter when inserting; it may save some brain cells in the short term.

I know it may be basic, but it surprised me when I took a closer look. Just a thought 🙂
