I am building a blood pressure spreadsheet and a companion line chart. When I forget to take a reading for a day and have an empty cell the line chart has a break in continuity. Is there a way to continue the line chart from one cell w/data, past an empty cell to another cell with data, and keep the line intact?

Thanks very much Barry! I've tried option 1, but I hate to have missing date columns from the spreadsheet. I will try option 3 as soon as I can digest the material. I am a beginner novice in Numbers, as I'm sure you discerned. 😟

Option 3 also requires 'missing date columns' from the data table.
Otherwise, it, like the Line chart, will break the line where there is missing Y data (the readings not taken).
