Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
This is about my iMessage .. I've seen a lot of discussions about this but none worked for me . It shows my apple id instead Of my number. When I click "receive at" it has no line where I can enter my number it just says add another email adress?
I have tried signing out of my apple I'd and activating iMessage again it still does not say receive at my number.. I have tried practically everything nothing seems to work .. Help please !

Hi guys. This looks as the silliest of solutions but will work for sure. I had many conversations with Apple support regarding this issue but never once they asked me to check this simple settings. Kudos to you, Mr Razak.
settings, messages, receive at, caller id. you can change it there.

u can check your setting>messages>turn imessage on and also see the setting on this page receive at. when u click on the option of receive at u can see your apple id and your mobile number and caller id. click on caller id and click on your mobile number

i edited my post with specifics, if you follow that and don't see caller id, i don't know what to say, i just checked it on my phone so i hope this helps.
I can't see The option where it says caller I'd of my number.. The only thing on the receive at page for me is my apple id and an option to add another email adress that is all
And I think I may need credit to activate or something because whenever I turn iMessage on I receive a message from my carrier saying I have no credit :/
please help , its really bugging me.. i have tried literally everything.. the main problem is that when i clickk recieve at it does nt say my number or caller id , it just says my email and if i want to add another one so when i use imessage it shows my email not my number...
here as aswell, not even showing the phone number. Also when turning imessage on, I get a notification for facetime.... huh?!

Hey I had the same problem and it is easy to fix you need to go into your apple ID and make sure that under your details u have your mobile number not your home number then it should show up on the messages part in settings receive at 2 addresses (phone and email) and from there you mobile number will be what it sends from :)
When I say Apple ID details I mean if you go to store in the settings of iPhone then click Apple ID, view apple ID then Billing address if you click on that you then edit your phone number to you mobile, you need to have a full area code such as NZ- 0064 :) hope this helps
