My iMessage shows my email not my number

This is about my iMessage .. I've seen a lot of discussions about this but none worked for me . It shows my apple id instead Of my number. When I click "receive at" it has no line where I can enter my number it just says add another email adress?

I have tried signing out of my apple I'd and activating iMessage again it still does not say receive at my number.. I have tried practically everything nothing seems to work .. Help please !

I got a little frustrated because none of these solutions worked for me. I finally called support and here's what worked to allow iMessages to be sent to/from my phone number:

1. Turn off iMessage (Settings > Messages > un-click iMessage)

2. Reset Network Settings (Settings > General > Reset > click "Reset Network Settings") **this will NOT delete any photos, phone numbers, etc

--- This will cause your phone to turn off and restart

3. Turn back on iMessage (Settings > Messages > click iMessage)

4. Select phone number in iMessage (Settings > Messages > Send & Receive > click on your phone number under "Start New Conversations From")

Voila! It should now work! 🙂

If it doesn't, I'd recommend calling support (611). 😉
