How to remove bing from safari, Help!

It was my case. Thank you for this advice. I looked into the extensions and found a few - I never knew I had. I suspect a search engine, but I removed a few: money saving, shopping extensions etc - which I did not put on my computer, I am sure.

Bing is gone, thanks Lord.

I had the same problem, and I solved it.

1. Go to Safari > Preferneces
2. Press the General tab
3. Select "Default search engine
4. Click Google

I had celipsow, i uninstalled it and it worked

I also had this problem, however, it is simply fixed - go to the address bar and enter any series of letters i.e. djdjdj and you will see to the left of the address bar a magnifying glass click on this and a drop down menu will appear. Click on Google or whatever and Bing will be gone in future searches.

It seems that you don't have to enter any letters at all just move your cursor over the address bar and the magnifying glass will appear - click on this and a drop down menu of search engines will appear... and there we go.

"Conduit Search tool" was something called "Search Genius" on my Mac. I selected, un-installed and closed the window. Now I am back to searching with Google. This trick by Bing makes me hate them. But thanks for the help! tyson
