Music App Crashes with iTunes Match Turned On?

With iTunes Match enabled on both my iPhone 4 and iPod Touch the Music App crashes repeatedly...

On each device the Music App crashed hard enough that I had to do a hard reset, reinstall the iOS software and restore my content from a backup. Other times the Music App crashes and I have to close the app and restart it more than ten times before it opens with out crashing. This makes listing to music near impossible.

Other issues with iTunes Match enabled on my iOS devices include sluggish Music App performance with constant freezes, some songs not downloading then working a few days later, and massive battery drain. None of these things happen with iTunes Match off.

Anyone else experiencing this?

Most of the performance issues with iTunes Match was solved by erasing my iPhone and reinstalling the OS as a new phone, not restoring from a backup. In fact a lot of bugs disappeared after doing this. Compared to a restore it just takes so much longer to setup all the apps and mail accounts manually. The results:

Here is what improved... No more freezes and forced reboots! Quicker and more reliable music browsing.

And still the same... Artwork not always showing up. Play counts not updating! Some smart playlists not working correctly (having thousands of songs in them when there should only be a couple hundred).

I am done with iTunes Match. I like my music to have the album artwork, love having the date last played and total play counts to review, and I want my iPhone to not be so troublesome. I can get all this by turning iTunes Match Off. Maybe in a few years the technology will be ready. For me I am letting this feature go.
