I need to input stereo audio to Ipad

The cheapest and really the most effective way to get audio in will only cost you 6 dollars at RadioShack. It's called a four pole to 2 three pole 1/8" stereo adapter/spliter. It turns the jack into both a headphone out and a mic/line in. This is a good example of how Apple tries to make huge bucks on their accesories.

Since the cable in question is certainly NOT an Apple product, how do you come to that conclusion?

This also does not allow you to record in stereo which is the topic of this thread.

I'm not talking about the cable in question. In the CONTEXT of what I was saying, and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure this out, it is true that the apple business plan is to make a lot of money through accessories, mainly their adapters. I do t get why that is such a complicated thing. Also, when pulling quotes, it's polite to include the context.
