In Browser .PDF forms wont' work

I am so frustrated right now. Can someone please guide me on how to open, fill out, and submit .PDF forms using ANY broswer (I don't care which one) on the MAC?

I've tried extensions, plug ins, Adobe reader itself, Adobe Pro, reading for 2 days and for the life of me I can't fill out and submit forms on Safari, Firefox, OR Chorome.

My frustration is multiplied by the fact that this worked in safari before I updated to 10.6.8, which also updated Safari to 5.1.2 at the same time.

I've read in several places that there is an issue with Adobe and Safari, but to not be able to accomplish this in any browser is unbelievable to me.

I have the latest of everything, browsers, OS, adobe, you name it I've updated it.

Can someone please help me throught this?? I would be so greatful !!!

yeah, i'm using a windoze 7 machine at work, but the problem is that our clients use all sorts of devices, including Macs, and the fillable/submittable PDF solution was supposed to bridge the gap between those devices. i'll keep plugging away on this because we're creating more of these as time goes on.

by the way, did you file a bug with the safari team?

Interesting, I wonder if this is a 64 bit vs. 32 bit issue, though my suspicion is that it's not. I'm guessing that most 10.6 and 10.7 users are running in 32-bit mode, and most probably 10.8 too, since the vast majority of apps a probably still only 32 bit. I wish I had access to a 10.8 machine to test this scenario with - I only have access to 10.6 or 10.7 setups 😟.

Well, I guess it's fortunate that I work close to an Apple store - their demo machines have 10.8.2 on them 🙂, and I was able to verify your post, Maurino. Sweet! I'm guessing this was a bug that was fixed in one of the 10.8.x releases, but I couldn't find any reference to it in the release notes. Anyway, at least it works!

I have this same problem. Exactly. The. Same.

Latest versions of Safari 8.0.6, Firefox 38, Chrome, Adobe Reader 11.0.1, Adobe NPAPI Plugin 15.007, etc.

MacBookPro (13-inch Aluminum Early 2011), Mac OS X (10.10.3) I just upgraded from Lion yesterday to try and fix this...

I have the solution for this in Safari:

Launch Safari, and then choose Preferences under the Safari menu at the top left.

In the Preferences window, choose Security and then click the Website Settings button for Internet plug-ins at the bottom.

Now select Adobe Reader in the list of plugins.

Under the option When visiting other Websites, in the drop-down list, choose Allow Always and then click Done.

This solved the problem. I didn't even have to restart Safari or the Mac. It even shows the pop-up that the file will save after 30 minutes.

I tried every other solution posted in this thread to no avail [and even some others in firefox (running it in 32bit, user agent, diff add ons, etc.) and chrome]. Even looked at installing IE...

I also tried installing the Adobe Reader DC, using that as the default .pdf viewer/editor both on the computer and within the browsers - switched it back to Reader 11, though.

I could not fill out an international bank transfer because APPLE is convinced that the Adobe Reader doesn't support the highest level of security for Safari plug-ins.

Apparently the security is good enough for Global banks to use ADOBE FORMS but not for Apple....I'm flabbergasted.
