I have a 2005 Power Mac G5 Duo 2.5 Gigahertz computer which will not boot up. When I turn it on, the power light does not light up, nor does it show a flashing light signal. Soon after the fans start up they become loud. I tried reseting the smu, installed new memory, zaped the PRAM, and gave it some time. Those things helped me before, But not now. PLEASE HELP ME!

Fixed. All i needed to do was the hair dryer trick. Thanks for all of the people referencing the trick.

Bad news, when I turn it off, after a little while, I have to do the trick again to turn it on. Any other tips?
I will update this page when I get a chance to try out the trick (I don't have a heat gun).
Hair Dryer longer closer may work.
I will try out it as soon as I turn off the commuter, or when i confirm what is a "closer" is in hair dryer.
Sorry for the spelling errors. I am using a old Apple USB Keyboard to type until i get a bluetooth adapter for my Macs and PCs so I can use my wireless keyboard.

Oh, and by the way, after some time, the G5 does boot up but when I click something after a while, it stops responding.

If you have any temps in the 70°C/160°F range, that's likely it.
The memory controler heatsink is at 71.2°C and incresing/decresing.
And by the way, when I jump started the Mac, the highest tempreature in the memory controler heatsink is 72.9°C before it stoped.
