How can i delete notifications from iCal without sending the decline/deleted notification to the sender?

So far, this solution appears to be the only one that works (as posted earlier on this thread by someone else):


  1. Create a new "spam" calendar
  2. Move the offending invites in to that calendar
  3. Delete the "spam" calendar (using the "Delete and Don't Notify" option)


I hope that changing the Calendar.Preferences.Advanced preference from "in-app" to "email" will stop the unwanted invites from showing up.
