Compatible Printers

What is the compatible printer list for the Airport Express station? I have a Canon PIXMA IP6000D, will that work?

I just used the "Airport Setup Assistant."

If you had the printer setup previously on your computer I would do several things: First make sure your Airport firmware and MP780 printer driver are up to date (got to both Apple and Canon websites for these.) Then reset the airport by holding in the reset button with the paper clip, then go to "Print and Fax" in Sytem preferences and remove the printer. Now you can plug your printer into the Airport run the setup assistant and go back to system pref's and add the printer using bonjour.

Good luck!

iFelix,

Do you know of any solutions for making HP PhotoSmart C3180 printer work with AirPort Extreme?

I've used the solution mentioned here: http://www.ifelix.co.uk/tech/1300.html

However, on the last step, instead of Generic, I chose some other HP printer which is not my model, but it got the printer working but the quality of printing is kind of bad! When USB is directly connected to PC, the quality is much better.

Any ideas? Solutions?

Thanks.

Thanks for the tip Yank. I now got it working..on my
MP780.

cheers

Hello: - I'm new at this forum, but it appears that you solved the issue I have been working on for days. Please share with me in detail how to get my Canon MP780 connected to my Apple Airport Express Base Station. I have continued success with this AEBS and my Canon BJ-85 and Epson 740 printers, but no matter what I do, I cannot get the MP780 to show any as a Bonjour printer, but it works just fine when connected directly via the USB cable. If possible, please email me at phillypeay@earthlink.net, since I'm not sure if I can find this forum again.

Thank you

====================================
Hello to Anyone responding to this post:
Thanks, but the solution was already mentioned by Yank and all who posted before me. As soon as I posted my message above, I took the advice of Yank I believe, and I updated the firmware from 6.2 to 6.3 and the MP780 showed up like magic. What a difference a digit makes.... I had spoke to Canon earlier and they had no clue and didn't really care. He simply stated that others had resolved the issue before me, but since they do not support the Airport, he could not help me. He suggested I contact Apple, and then I joined this forum.

Thanks again folks
