10.7.3 Losing WiFi connection after return from SLEEP mode!

First reported this 3 days ago to techsupport and worked up to a "senior tech" who brought me thru several additional steps that previous techs did not. Problem is still open and after reading several forums it appears that 10.7.3 has a problem in this area but have not seen a response from Apple that this is a bug. For information...Have switched over to ethernet which resolves the problem. Have installed a new router (Airport Extreme) which did not solve the problem (possible suggestion by support as being the problem). If anyone else is in this area, I would wait for a "fix" to 10.7.3 before doing anything else! Regards...

About iMac Wi-Fi Update v1.0

This update resolves an issue that may cause an iMac to not automatically connect to a known Wi-Fi network after waking from sleep.

It is recommended for all iMac (Late 2009 or newer) users running 10.7.3.

This ought to be available in Software Update. Let me know how it works for you.

What about for mid-2009 MacBook Pro laptops? The problem still exists. but isn't supported in the latest update (only late 2009 and newer). Any options?

Purchased a new iMac last week running V10.7.4. It is connected via WiFi to Time Machine for auto back-up & Wifi network. In turn the Time Machine is connected via LAN cable to a Virgin Media router (Superhub = Netgear 3101D). I have de-activated WiFi on the router. Can anyone advise why the iMac should lose WiFi connection after it has been sleeping? When i run network diagnostics the iMac cannot find any WiFi networks to connect to. I then have to **** down the iMac and then power up again. Resart does not seem to have effect i.e. still cannot see available wireless networks. Other devices on the WiFi seem to be Ok

Any thoughts?

Thanks for the suggestion, tried that but it must be part of V10.7.4 as it addresses a problem in V10.7.3

Anyone got any further thoughts?
