I know this thread is old but...Twice in the last two weeks my hotmail account was compromised. I had the same password since 1996, until someone hacked me and emailed a link to all my contacts in Hotmail. I changed passwords of course, to a strong password. A week later Windows 8 (installed last week on my home PC) tells me there is suspicious activity on my account in Hotmail - and prompts me to change the password again. Twice in two weeks!!

There is only one thing that I have done in the last two weeks consistent with the timing of these hacks - Facebook. I allowed Facebook access to my contacts on my Iphone 4S, more to get my facebook contacts in my contact list on Iphone, as per the new facebook integration on IOs 6. A day later I'm hacked for the first time in 16 years!

Then, on my windows 8 PC, I allow Windows 8 to integrate with Facebook, including contacts. The next day, suspicious activity on my hotmail account prompting another password change!

This is way too wild a coincidence for me. Either someone has hacked my facebook account and is getting access that way, or the security on facebook is so horrible that by linking my contact lists someone was able to see my account and blast emails. Either way, I'm convinced it's Facebook.

Okay, so I got an iPhone 5 a few months ago. One of my very first bookmarks was an Enjin forum for my favorite videogame. I surf the web alot on my phone, including going to websites that may look sketchy and that I might not have gone to if I had been on my PC, because I was under the assumption that iPhones are way harder to get viruses on. Recently, I've been having to complete captcha a to prove I'm human before I enter my favorite forum, because it is protected by incapsula and it is "detecting malware on my computer". My phone has also been slowing down a bit, especially when on the web.

Is there any antivirus software I can get? Should I be worried about this? Will doing a full manufacturer reset and then redownloading all my stuff help?

For reference, I used to own an iPod that did the exact same thing here. The same incapsula told me to get antivirus, so I reset it fully and I no longer get the message when I go on the website. It's also not just one website telling me I have malware, things slow down and other websites make me do captchas.

iPhones can get viruses.

Not with a non-hacked/jailbroken iPhone or iOS device.

If iPhones can get viruses as in plural, please provide a website listing the known iOS viruses - and viruses as in being able to spread from iOS device to iOS device viruly without the infected user's knowledge. You won't be able to because there are none.

And nothing can be installed on a non-hacked/jailbroken iOS device from a website except for a photo which must be done manually. I haven't read about viruses or mailware being included with a jpeg.
