Is anyone having trouble streaming music videos from iCloud?

I have been using iMatch for several weeks listening to music & watching music video's on moth my Apple TV & iPhone 4s. I now can not watch music video's on the iPhone I get the response "Unable to load film" on the Apple TV it just keeps trying.

I contacted Apple & have been told that this servoce was never available to watch music video's via the cloud. Well it used to work & if you go to this link http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5085 it clearly states that music video's can be streamed for users in Australia which is where I live.

Any clues?

I've reported it to Apple: it's been 6 days for me (that I know of). Still no change. I'm not going to jump through any hoops or do any workarounds (i.e., "waving the dead chicken.") I want an explanation before I spend all that time. I did (gently; I'm not angry) let them know that I won't be buying any videos from iTunes until it's cleared up, needless to say. No problems at all with music, and, until about a week ago, music videos worked flawlessly as well. Now I can't even download them on my iDevices: only (through the "Purchased" mechanism in the iTunes Store) on my MacPro. And there's no way in you-know-where I'm going to physically tether again.

Hi all

Glad (unfortunately) to hear I'm not the only one having this problem. Been having the same problem for about a week or so i.e.unable to play music videos from icloud on my iPhone 4S, iPad 2 and Apple TV but plays OK on my Macbook Pro. All music seems fine - just music videos seem affected. I subscribe to itunes match.

Have sent numerous messages to Apple via Express Lane. They requested I send a screenshot from my mobile device which i have done. The only work-around i have managed is to go to the itunes store on your mobile device and download from there. But i can not view/download music videos from with 'videos' app or 'music'. Apple TV seems a no-go!

Please guys let me know if you get any joy. Its getting really frustrating.

Same here..it started last weekend and it's still bad...streaming few videos here and there but unable to use shuffle option, Music option is fine...The problem is at apple as nothing I've done here worked. Amazingly we hear nothing from Apple to this day. Let's keep discussing...they can't keep ignoring for much longer. Cheers to all...

Interested to find this discussion. Have precisely the same issue - worked great then just stopped. As others have said only applies to music videos it seems. Videos are all listed on my iPhone iPad and Apple TV - just refusing to play. Have not logged a call yet with Apple but will do. One thought though - could it be a legal issue? I'm saying this as I only have this issue in Australia. When I'm in New Zealand it works.

Hi Nick, Michael here in Australia, I posted the original question. It appears that this issue is affecting iMatch users around the world. Strange that it works in NZ but not when you are in Australia. Apple seems to be avoiding the issue & I have done several test at their request even had to change my user name. Nothing has solved the problem. If I were you I would report it but be prepared for them to say that they do not have a problem then refer them to this forum. Good luck the more people who report this the more chance we have of getting a fix. Apple are normally good but on this issue there is a lot to be desired, perhaps they don't want to admit that their iCloud service has flaws much like MobileMe did in it'd early days.

Well still waiting for a follow-up reply and nothing from Apple (Express Lane). Poor service, really disappointed. Anyone getting any joy? Still having the problems with the music videos. I will definitley be seeking compensation. At the end of the day i have 4 Apple devices and cannot access my music videos on 3 of them. Bad times

Hi everyone

This is the reply i've just received from Apple which is NOT right:

"I've asked assistance from my Senior Advisor to review your case and I told that the reason for you having such issues is because the music videos you're trying to play using iTunes Match is no longer available from the iTunes Store.

Please be advised that like in the iTunes in the cloud feature, it is no longer possible for you to redownload music videos on your other devices using Tunes Match if it has been removed or modified from the iTunes Store.

I profusely apologize for the inconvenience this issue has caused. Thank you for your patience and cooperation. Have a good one".

Any ideas?

Hi samietuk,

That sounds pretty ridiculous. First, we're trying to play the music videos, purchased from iTunes, from iCloud via AppleTv or iPad. IMatch is not the issue, though it does appear that Apple has changed or disabled playback.

If that is the case, I'll be needing a refund for my extra iCloud storage and for 2 Apple TV's.

However, your answer is so nonsensical...I'd get someone on the phone.

I plan on calling again myself.
