Safari issues

That update link appears to be invalid. Thought the 1.1 update fixed everything, but my Rosetta enabled apps still have issues. Now I see buggy activity in my other apps. Silverfast and Epson scanning software not working. Adobe Golive buggy

Don't have the time, but will restore the old system from Time Machine tonight and avoid updates for a while.

Will try reporting specifics. -- oops, not allowed to report unless I'm a registered developer...

Well, that's the first I've ever heard any advice to not install security updates. While I'm not parnoid, I'm also aware that new & better bad stuff can pop up at any time, and had always assumed Apple releaed these for some good reason. And I certainly never thought a security update would put my computer at risk, now I definitely know it does...

??? brody, please read my earlier answer to you. I'll explain again - it's not Safari at all - you can please bury that notion. :-), it's a variety of other programs, including Epson and Silverfast scanning plugins (one is intel), Adobe Golive (still) and a few others.

My system is still not as it was before the first update, the "fix" update helped some, but there are still issues.

Well.....I'm back up and running. I have refused the security update that crashed my Mac. (I know .....Duh) but I have no idea if it was anything important or not. Does anyone know what that update was supposed to do? I know a number of people who installed that same update with no problem but I hate to chance another crash. My first instinct is to wait and see if the powers that be update the update. I'm sure it was probably a certain combination of factors that crashed my system but I have no idea what factors or combination of factors we're at the root of my particular problem. On the other hand I hate to have my system at risk from another direction.

By the way. Thank you again everyone for the help.
