2012 Honda CRV Blue Tooth audio streaming

I'm having trouble getting music from my I Phone 4 to play over my 2012 Honda CRV sound system. I know my phone can be connected via the USB, headphone jack or blue tooth, but no matter which set up I select I have to keep fiddling around to get music for I Tunes to play over the sterio system. Has anyone mastered this yet?

So I have a 2013 CRV EX-L and quickly fell in love with the USB connection to my brand new, 7th gen iPod nano. Well, a week into using it, I am consistently getting a 'USB Error' message on the screen and in order for my iPod to reconnect via USB, I have to turn off/on the vehicle. It doesn't seem to matter if the iPod is playing a song d/l'ed from iTunes or one burnt from a CD. I have been to my Honda dealership and they are 'looking into it.' They have not had any other issues reported to them and there is no Honda update for the computer available to 'fix' this problem.

Okay, next food for thought...I also have my iPhone 5 hooked up via BT but I only use it for calls. I don't have iTunes on my phone as I am completely fine with my very large music library to live exclusively on my iPod. With that said, is there any known issues with, say, interference? Since my iPhone 5 automatically synces with the car's BT each time I get in, maybe there is an issue? What can I do in iTunes to fix this (if anything)?

Thanks all!

Yeah I have the exact same problem with my 2013 civic. Same fix too, you have to turn the car off to clear the message then it works again. I took it to the dealership they kept it for part of the day and then told me that they called Honda, and Honda says its something with the ipod itself, maybe the way files are arranged on it.

Also I don't know that there would be interferences issues, but if your iphone is connected through bluetooth, I'm not sure your car with let you pair your ipod thru bluetooth. I am interested to know if that will work too.
