I'll give you this other tip as a bonus, when you iPhone is stuck in headphone mode (you can check by pressing the volume button and see if it displays "headphone volume" and if sound is only working with headphones) : Just suck the headphone jack as hard as you can and this will solve the problem.

Hope you found this article helpful and I'm really looking forward to your comments

Plz reply me.......

My iphone 5 did the same thing. I tried all the little tricks but the only think that did it for me was the hairdryer for about 3 minutes on cool High air. The sucky thing is that I have had two of these phones and they both did this. It has to be a major issue with Apple. My old iphone 4 never did this and I had it for about three years. 😟

I'm thinking I may have to try another phone if this keeps being a constant issue. Thanks for all the help. This forum is a lifesaver for these kinds of things. 🙂

the hair dryer set on "high cool" I'm sure worked fine .....but if it does not work for any of you ....try buying a can of compressed air ( from hardware stores / home depot and Lowes or Radio Shack etc ) ( about $7 or $8 ) then use the narrow straw attachment and spray into the headphone jack for about 3 to 5 seconds that should both clean out and dry out any junk or moisture and the problem will be solved most likely .....sure as **** beats a $29 ( or higher support call ) or worse yet ...trading in your "out of warranty" phone !

Hope some of the suggestions on this board helps all of you for FREE !

I tried everything too. Compressed air, hair dryer, sucking, pulling jack in and out. Nothing worked then I sprayed

WD 40 on a Q-tip and blotted off excess. Then I rubbed male end of jack and inserted in and out about 10-15 times. IT WORKED! Mine has been stuck for weeks and its a pain. Not sure if Apple will condone procedure but the amount of WD was so minuscule plus I was desperate. May work for you too.

If anyone else get this problem and nothing works, I fixed mine. I took some 1in medical bandage tape ripped it in half. I took the smaller half and rolled it up sticky side out. Stick it in gently try to reach bottom and pull out. It will pull out and lent or junk in it. You may have to double the tap over to get it too be a better (not tight) fit. Play around with it a bit and try putting headphones in and out a couple times. I pulled some lint and dirt, also getting some off the sidewalls. it may take a few trys, but if nothing else is working then you might give this a shot.

FYI*** I would not advise using very sticky or weak tape. You dont want it to be too sticky to damage something or too weak to break off inside the jack. Hope this helps someone!

insert headphones make a call take them out during call

YOU MAY HAVE WATER DAMAGE IN YOUR EARPHONE JACK
