Once my book is uploaded, how long before it appears in iTunes?
Uploaded the book several days ago and haven't seen it yet.

Does anyone know of good resources to market books? I already have created Facebook, Google+, and Twitter pages. In addition, I have a website and email support with automated feedback (this is just for a small amount of time until we get back to people). But still, does anyone know of better strategies? Thanks!
If it's a book on a special-interest topic, posting on relevant discussion forums and blogs is probably a good way to get the word out.

Look into using prMac - their services always more than pay for themselves. Been using them for more than two years now for apps and books.

Is prMac free?
After 3 months long wait, our book "Let's Learn Time" finally got released today. We were pretty disappointed when it was not approved for so long as our team had put in lot of effort in making that book. But, who doesn't :-)
Here is a link to the book:

You will find this book as one of the most interactive books on the iBooks Store. We have used lot of interactive clocks with voiceovers to make children learn "Time" effectively. Not only that, at the end of every chapter we have interactive assessments. iBooks Author restrict you a lot in terms of animations you can use. So, we have used lot of html5/javascript widgets to go with it.
Do have a look and let us know how do you like it. Does iBooks have concept of promo codes which I can give you guys to test ?
I would love to try it out! You can reach me at michi@triodia.com.

Same here! Under "Manage Your Books" in iTunes Connect, select your book and click "Promo Codes." Sign the agreement and determine how many promo codes you would like to request. Then, your codes should be generated. If you have any questions, reply to my general email:

Thanks, and hope this helps!
Below, you will find my book which was just recently published. Please consider giving me a 5 star rating—I'll do the same to your books, so please included the links! :)

I just resubmitted my next book (regular ebook, not created in iBooks Author), and am waiting...
As most of you know, my textbook has been published. However, it has not appeared in the textbook section of the iBookstore? Why is this—when will it finally make it there?

Apparently, the Amazon process for getting books into the store is quite efficient, and you wouldn't have the issue of not having an iBookstore in Singapore.

Just remember that in Amazon - if you do not price $2.99 - $9,99 you will receive ONLY 35% royalty! 😟

Yes, that's a pretty appalling figure… When I checked the deal for the Nook, it didn't look that great either. I can't remember the exact figures, but it was nothing to get excited about…
There is also the size limitation: 50 MB with Amazon. That means a book can contain only text and not too many photos. It certainly can't contain video; not just because of the size limitation, but also because none of the Kindle devices (including the Kindle Fire) can handle video inside a book.
Michi.
Not only do that but you also have to pay for the delivery of your ebook on amazon the more mb in size the more it costs to download it. You could actually sell a 50mb book for 2.99 And because you are charged $0.15 per mb you end up owing amazon $4.50.
Amazon is really not the great tool people think it is.
I submitted my second book last night. The first one took a month, here's hoping this one is faster!
🙂
Good luck... I submitted a regular, ePub book to Apple on Friday—still in review. I got it published n Amazon (for $.99) but the royalty is awful.
