SCX-4300 No Scan
I recently upgraded my system to version 10.7.3 and since then my Samsung SCX-4300 printer will not scan any documents. Does anyone know of a solution?

I followed the instructions and then... bingo!!!....
Image capture does not recognize the samsung scanner but it appears in the apple menu>system preferences>print/scan and it works froms there.
Any thoughts on how to get image capture to recognize the scanner?

So, 2.4 is released. Any1 tried it yet? Does it have the scanning capability restored or should we stick with 2.2?

Where did you find 2.4? You did not provide any link! 😟
But, unfortunally I cannot help you anymore: the Mac who has got the problem, here, is owned by a customer, which is happy using 2.2. Sorry!
2.4 is from Apple Software Update
Go to your mac logo, top left side on your screen, go to "search for updates" and you'll find it.
On the other hand, has anyone try it yet.....I had in the past the issue with version 2.3 since my Scan died, I have to made all the process to delete the version and download from another web page version 2.2 and finally got my scan fixed...
Looking forward to here people that downloaded this version and hope to say scan and print works!! Hahaha.....

Everyone who has the SCX-4300 or SCX-4500 should stick with v2.2. According to this knowledge base article scanning isn't supported on these models.
Who should I get in touch with to see about getting this fixed?
This is outrageous! Those responsible for these drivers should really be ignorant. Not only they made a mistake with 2.3 but they care so little to leave it as it is in the next version? What are they thinking?!

So I wrote to Samsung support and they replied:
Thank You for contacting us. For this moment we do not consider further support for Your operating system with this model. If everything works at drivers version 2.2 I suggest that You stay with that. I'll send Your suggestion further to section responsible in that matter.
