How do I remove the dock from the bottom of the screen on an iPhone?

The difference it makes, is that it impacts how the phone looks. Although it may be only a glass shelf, it is visible and sits on the wallpaper which in my case, I've customised. The owner should be able to decide how their phone looks.
Thanks for your response. I know the 4 apps are suppose to be there and you can customise them. However you can get rid of the dock/glass shelf they are sitting on. This is what I am trying to do.
You'e welcome.

No you cannot - not with a non-jailbroken/hacked iPhone.
Regardless, what difference does it make? It is a glass shelf for crying out loud which doesn't change or affect anything. There is not a setting to reveal or not reveal this glass shelf.
Unfortunately, you can't hide the dock. The iPhone does have limits on what you can and can't do with it. There are more phones that are 100% customizable but the iPhone isn't one.
I upgraded and wish I had not, there are all these little line build up at bottom of my S5 phone.
How can Imget rid of the them?
That's the thing I'm trying to get rid of. Maybe there's a way to do it.

No, there is not.
I went to the Apple Store & somebody showed me how to reduce the transparency. That is what it can be done.
