Hi,
Whenever I try and add a fade (using the fade tool) to and audio track i get I keep getting the message I/O error code -36. I've only got 4 short audio tracks recorded. Anyone know what this is all about ? its pretty frustrating. Cheers

That error message can sometimes be eliviated by re-setting the record pathway.
Click and hold the record button, and select record settings. Make sure there is an audio patway assigned to that particular song.

all permissions are correct, Im guessing its this one project thats just knackerd as Ive quickly tested fades on a new project and it seems to fine...at the moment !
It seems on the other forums that there isn't a fix for it ! rubbish.
Had this same issue with a -120 error .
Setting the external drive to disregard ownership cured it for me this time using finder Get info.
I just recently upgrade :/ os to mavericks that brought it about. .
Try copy your entire project to your users desktop and use permission reset tool .
Test it there , then move it back to your prefered storage .
