Why does iCloud mailbox keep asking for my password, even though I have saved the password in the keychain? After I enter the password, I am able to access my mailbox.

Yes, delete the account and make it again using the same login as the website and the Mac! it ain't broke now! but it will.
It says I'll lose the data on my phone.
Only until you sign back in, it will give you the same data as is on the website, and your Mac. If those two locations have correct data, so will the phone.

i now have the same pw for all three-appleID, mac, phone.
Now, with itunes it had asked me to use a diff email and pw. So, I'm using a google account.
I put in the password, and now my Settings window is empty!
iTunes and iCloud are separate entities, they have independent logins. Use whatever you used to use for iTunes, it has nothing to do with iCloud.

And (if you did as I asked) you have not changed anything to do with iTunes, whatever you used to login has not changed.

But will have to work on the itunes, later. cannot use itunes, since i changed pw.

I want to thank you for your help. It did work. (Nevermind the iTunes logins.)
However, after a few hours, it would ask me for my password again. It worked with password.
Now, it is not accepting outgoing the servers, and will not send email, although I did not change any settings since the last email. I never had these problems until June 2012, but they are a frequent problem since then.
Outgoing server configuration failed on 3 tries and was successful on 4 and 5th, with no changes to settings! Why? It should work consistently.
