NO Sound from the Apple TV unit.

I have no sound at all. Just used it 30 minutes ago and it worked fine while using Netflix. Also tried restarting unit, but still no sound. Used AirPlay with ipad2, and get pictures but no sound. Get sound from tv using digital antenna and DVD player. is this a faulty unit?

Well, it didn't work for me! Power down process, reset, reset to factory.... nothing worked. all of this after a lightning strike. 😢

Thanks to user Hrvojelic my sound now works like a charm! Switched video settings from 1080p 60Hz to 720p 60Hz, apparently my TV isnt able to get Full HD image from ATV3 and still gets the sound to work properly. Thumbs up!

None of the Apple suggestions worked. I was about to give up, when I used your suggestion to unplug and plug back in both the TV and the Apple TV Box as you suggested. Yours worked!! Thank you, so much.
