Deleting Templates in Pages.

To delete a Personal Template from "Pages" open finder; open "Go"; hold down left "Alt"; open "Library"; open "Application Support"; open "iWork"; open "Pages"; open "Templates". You can now delete your own templates by dragging to Trash or amend names etc.

Always share what version of Pages that you are using because Pages '09 stores its templates in an entirely different location than does Pages v5.

In Pages '09, you had to visit the user templates location in your home Library/Application Support/iWork/Pages/Templates/My Templates folder. In Pages v5, you can rename, or delete your custom templates right from within the Templates Chooser — via right, or control-click. No need to know the Template folder location.

Understand that the original post is now over four years old, and the OP discussion is for Pages '09 templates, and does not apply to Pages v5 templates.

For Pages v5 templates, choose new document, and under My Templates, right-click on the Template that you want to affect, and choose Rename, or Delete, as appropriate from the pop-up contextual menu.
