Looks like no one’s replied in a while. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question.

iTunes doesn't sync videos to iPhone 4s.

So I imported my photos and videos to my computer so I can arrange the files in a separate folders. When I was done and tried to sync them back to my iPhone, iTunes won't let me sync the videos, said that the files "cannot be played on this iPhone". Which is ridiculous because those videos were recorded from the very same iPhone.

I read some of the discussions here and thought maybe I should verify the files like what was said here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1211

And I did, at least I tried but iTunes won't even let me add the files to its Library and won't let me convert the videos to mp4. So I tried converting my videos to mp4 using 3rd party application and still it won't sync with my phone.

Has anyone of you encountered this? What is the point of having that amount of disk space if I can't even add and watch my own videos on my phone.

I assume you are using mac to sync your iphone.

I got my videos back by organizing up my photos & videos files through iPhoto.

It is surprisingly easy to make use of the smart album function to identify all the video files first.

Than you may wish to also sort your photos by adding them into albums.

When you sync your iphone to mac using itunes, under the Photos tab, you get to select the albums you wish to sync back to your iphone.

Hope this helps.

I had the same problem and finally got things done, more efficiently in fact.

Bringing this thread back from the dead...

For those that just can't seem to sync video files (not those suffering from file compatibilty issues). This might be obvious, but while your phone is connected to your computer, did you select "Sync Movies" in the "Movies" tab under your particular device? I believe it's unselected by default.

Hi!

I have the same problem with you. Just download the VLC application, it works on my iphone.

After downloading the VLC, plug your phone to the PC, open the summary tab of your phone in the itunes, go check the app tab, and look for the VLC app and click it, you can drag your videos from there. Very easy. Ü

I hope this help with everyone. No need to synch videos with itunes.
