Transfer purchases to another ID

Thats what I am trying to confirm. If I can simply go into manage ID switch the GMAIL to iCLOUD email address and still access content that would be fantastic, just not sure if thats possible

I purchased my first mac in kenya and started off in the Kenya iTunes store. Then I realised that there was more content in the UK store, being a UK citizen I am also entitled to a UK account so I opened an account there. Now the problem is updates. yes I can login and logout to get updates but that is not convenient. Also if I have deleted an app from my iPhone is is inconvenient to sign out and in. in fact it is downright NOT apple ish. What I wish for is

1) either a way to have two active apple IDs, that can keep my software up to date.

2) a way to transfer my purchases. Apple can even delete the old ID once the transfer is complete or block it or whatever they want to do with it. Im not stealing Im moving

Yes, I have changed my email several times and never lost purchased content.

You can change emails and retain access to content. However, you cannot use an icloud email address as a primary for an Apple ID.

Also there is no creation, simlid simply wants to update the email address they are using for their apple id. As I said they can do that, except it cannot be an iCloud email address.

I Don't get why you can't use icloud email??

Consider an app like omnifocus professional, runs on my mac, it costs 80 USD will family sharing really allow another account/computer to use the app? That is a big discount!

Steve I'm on IPad, iPhone and mac. According to this article it works for all apple platforms, mac,iPad,iPhone but the developer has to opt-in.

Just tried it out, and infact you cannot do it:

Why in the world is that the case?? that you can't use icloud account.

Only Apple knows why. The point is you need an external non apple based email address as the main address for an Apple ID.
