iTunes 10.6 crashing after upgrade

I just upgraded iTunes to 10.6, but it crashes everytime I open it.

I'm under Snow Leopard (10.6.8).

Thanks in advance for any suggestion or solution.

Apple's description of the 10.6.1 iTunes upgrade:

• Fixes several issues that may cause iTunes to unexpectedly quit while playing videos, changing artwork size in Grid view, and syncing photos to devices.

• Addresses an issue where some iTunes interface elements are incorrectly described by VoiceOver and WindowEyes.

• Fixes a problem where iTunes may become unresponsive while syncing iPod nano or iPod shuffle.

• Resolves an ordering problem while browsing TV episodes in your iTunes library on Apple TV.

Vaguely relevant to this discussion. However my upgrade to 10.6 was too hasty (I'm one of those that got out of trouble by upgrading iPhoto, as suggested by contributors from this group. I'm not going to make the same mistake again. I'll wait and watch for a few weeks! (iTunes is doing fine for me right now)!

I just upgraded iTunes to 10.6, but it crashes everytime I open it.

I'm using an iPhone 4s, iOS 5.1.

I have uninstalled iTunes, redownload 10.6, re-installed, reboot. This cycle has been done 3 times. The first two times iTunes froze on sync step 3. Then on the final reboot, iTunes just crashes on the load up screen.

Thanks in advance for any suggestion or solution.

I have fixed it yes i did and its a easy fix indeed, So here's what i did, I basicly had to use youtube to figure it out but yeah you want to go to this site, and get the free version of this third party remover. www.ursoftware.com (dont worry you can remove the software when your done with it) once you downloaded that, you want to remove all apple realted items, starting with apple mobile device support, use the ursoftware to do a quick uninstal, its going to make back ups and so on just let ursoftware do its job, once done go to the next apple related product bonjor same process use the ursoftware to uninstal it, next since its a trial version close ursoftware and open it back up that way u dont get the error only two at a time thing, apple appliaction support is next, same process and finally itunes when ur ready to do that click on the super uninstal, note for all other ones i listed the quick unistal is ookay, but for itunes u want the super to make sure u get rid of any apple stuff in ur computer, finaly delted the itunes folder i just made sure i got rid of everthing in the itunes folder. Once all these stepes are done, you can go google and do this look up itunes old apps. which should be the first site that pops up, now click on a older version of itunes i suggest like 10.1 or older befor the bug, once downloaded and instaled, u can upgrade to 10.6 and it should work fine if u dont understand what im trying to explain heres the link to the youtube video..http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cYSvLzLcJDQ

can someone helkp me i installed the new update and since then i cant download music nothing it says that i have a mobile support thing and it needs to be upgraded and it says uninstall itunes and intall it again and it wont let me install itunes it asks for some itunes64.msi or something and i dont have it

Speedy 435, you have mentioned an msi file, that sounds suspiciously like a Windows file to me. You are posting this in a Mac forum. (also you are posting a new query on the end of an old one, usually best to post a new question if your issue is not the same as the original poster.)

So when you post your question, you need to select the iTunes for Windows forum.

Another tip... you will more likely get helpful responses if you supply as much helpful and detailed information as you can. Cheers!
