Does the new Apple TV 3 support true 16/24bit HD Audio Formats?

Which have you got out of interest?

I'm itching to get a nice DAC - the Yamaha is a bit long in the tooth and was added to my Naim set up in order to provide centre/rear surround from DVD.

Gosh I'd forgotten about that one - I'd be looking at the Uniti series recently.

This would be for stereo audio purposes for me too.

The Yamaha would still be used for multichannel.

I guess technically I shouldn't have the surround speakers in the same room! Remember the old Linn single speaker demo campaign?
