AKIMBO has no scrubbing and is not as elegant as apple's player. But

- it shows the original chapternames

AND

- do NOT combine chapters with same name

Hi all. So I finally got feed up and went to the apple store and had them give me a new iPhone. Well I just finished syncing and sadly it did not fix anything. My podcasts still display chapter and still skip. Did anyone try removing iTunes?

I did and it did not fix the issue. Definitely an iOS 5.1 and 5.1.1 issue.

Still very annoying. Spread the video I made that's on YouTube and maybe Apple will take notice.

Not only on the iPad 3 - both previous models have also lost their lyrics displaying ability last Autumn (that is, well over half a year ago - and this hasn't been fixed since then) when iOS5 was released.

Is there a addon in an alternative store, which correct the apple issue?

In iOS 6 GM this problem is fixed. Individual chapternames comes back. But combining chapternames with same name https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3466004 are not fixed.

We are back to 5.0.1 functionality but not to 4.2.1 where all works well with audiobooks

Has anyone ever fixed this?

I have the same problem today with my iphone 3GS IOS 6.16 (last IOS available for 3GS).

Apparently IOS7 made things much worse still in the audiobook department (all chapters are merged to a single audiobook by force), so am kind of happy it wasn't available for the 3GS... So is anyone still strugling with this in IOS 6?

@ dieterfi: This was not fixed in IOS 6 (or not for long). As I said, I have this problem in IOS 6.1.6... Chapters, instead of their titles, are displayed as "Part 1 of 8", "Part 2 of 8" etc.
