iPad stops playing music when I launch an app?

"Select the music play list you want to listen to and start it playing. Go back to the home screen and start the app you want to use, music will stop. Press the home button two time quickly and it will bring up a simple control for controling the music. This works for me with all of the apps I have purchased including games. Just a note you can pull up the same music control if the iPod is a sleep and locked by pressing the button three times quickly.

This also worked for me.

pull up the multitasking pane and slide to the left untill you see the music player. Hit play, then go back to the game. Works on all the games I have tried. Seems to be an unintended consequence to updated OS.

Same thing happening to me. Can't be the apps because I can play the same apps while listening to my music on my iPhone, but not my iPad. Very annoying

It's not just the games. It happens when you go to the camera as well. It's not an app issue. It's an iPad issue. I tried what Mike said to do, but I only get the simple music control when the iPad is asleep. When I push the home button twice quickly while an app is running, it only brings up the apps that are currently running. Very frustrating.

I'm listening to music with the iPod while I typing and sending this reply, and I just launched the Camera and captured a photo while the music continues to play.

I have had same problem then my son told me try to turn off sound effect on the game and it works.

If you have Siri, just open the game and then ask her to play you some music.
