How to download Additional Content for Logic Pro?

I just bought a new Macbook Pro and I bought Logic Pro 9 from the app store and downloaded it and installed. I went to download the additional content and I had to turn my computer off eventually because it took a long time and now when I try to download it it says that it can't download it. Is there a way to fix this or be able to download the additional content? Do I have to download Logic again? I am guessing the additional content is Mainstage because I don't see that as an application anywhere. Also does the $199 downloadble version of Logic 9 come with Waveburner, is this in the additional content?

Logic Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.3)

I have downloaded the jam packs, loops and sampled instruments, and surround content. The only content that won't download is the "Logic Pro & MainStage Additional Content" which is 4.8 GB. All of the loops are in the library. I thought the additional content was everything that comes with Logic Studio except for Soundtrack Pro?

I found a message with a similar problem in the Logic Studio section: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3621202 so I will try to use a different wifi connection like this thread says.

I don't think it's an App Store problem because the content is downloaded from within Logic itself not the App Store. It will say "Logic was not able to complete the download". This is after I downloaded and installed Logic. I can use it to make projects and have all of the instruments and plugins.

Thanks for your help

i had some issues with installing additional content also. after Logic installed i just accepted the option to download additional content but every so often would receive a message like 'failed to complete download' and the system would just continue to download the next package. i found that, by downloading additional content (Logic Pro / Download Additional Content) one item at a time using this interface, i was able to complete each download and get the full package. my theory is that some of these items require you to give your admin password to complete the install but downloading them as a batch screws this up somehow. at any rate, try downloading the contents that show as Incomplete in the Download Additional Content interface one item at a time and that might help. btw, i went down to the lowest level (/loops, /instruments, /surround content) but you might try going up a level and see if you can get all 3 to install. keep in mind that, after each installation, Logic seems to restart (the application stays open but i think it does a complete re-scan because it kept giving me an error telling me that my external audio interface wasn't available--just because i hadn't powered it up to work on this process--which would normally only pop up when starting Logic without my interface--so just be patient and let Logic show you the beachball for a minute then launch the Download Additional Content interface again. Good Luck.

I had never-ending problems like you describe trying to download the larger additional content files. Finally, I connected my MacbookPro DIRECTLY to my router using a CAT5 cable - instead of going WiFi. It worked like a charm!

Apparently, for those with slower WiFi (depends where I was in the house) the direct cable connection can make all the difference.

Hope this helps someone out there :-)

I also had this problem, resolved by a very helpful lady from Apple support in Ireland. It was down to the router supplied by my Broadband provider BT, which was unable to download any file larger then 2GB (owing to a 'firmware fault'). There was apparently a manual workaround to this but I simply requested a more up-to-date router and the download then worked fine.

This solved issue for me.

I had similar problems. I would download OK (took some time though) click install and nothing happened in the list. Nothing changed. This involved some lengthy experimentation I might add.

Anyway Re-indexing the list solved it and now all loops appear. This took a little time so don't panic and click out as I have read this can cause problems.

Loops (drop down menu) at the bottom is "Reindex all loops" Click that. And may the force be with you!
