How to disable Genius Mixes on IOS - Ipad2?

All of a sudden my playlists on IPad (Itunes Match enabled) are showing a whole bunch of Genius Mixes -- (what is "Stoner Rock?)

It seems like Genius was recently added to Itunes Match, however, I have it hidden on my Mac (doesn't look like there is a way to turn off Genius with Itunes Match).

Is there a way to remove these Genius Mixes from the Ipad? I don't want to have them clutter my playlist selection screen.

They are not showing up on Iphone.

iPhone 4, iOS 5.0.1, Itunes Match

What I posted about above was from my ipad2. I borrowed my son's ipad mini. He also gets the genius playlists that are blank. His acts the same as mine. When I tap the playist, it moves to a screen showing all the songs in the list (or in the case of the genius playlists that are empty, it moves to a screen showing there are no songs in the playlist). He also has a "save" button in the upper right corner of this screen. His mini is also 6.1.3. It is so odd that we get different reactions.

This may be an old thread, but it's still pertinent.

I intensely dislike both the way the genius playlists appear ahead of my own and the fact that there seems to be no way to find out what's inside them either. Neither issue has been addressed since this thread started.

I really want to turn the dratted things off.

And it's not itunes Match either; that's not enabled on any of my devices.

I can see how turning off Genius might work, but that would also kill the Genius listings in the iTunes store, would it not?. I kind of like those; they're optional, don't get in the way unless I ask for them, and actually find some good stuff based on other purchases. There's no clear reason that the dratted playlists should be tied to the store setting, but they are.

Incidentally, my ipad also plays the genius playlists immediately on touch, with no way of inspecting contents or deleting them on the ipad.
