can't sign in to youtube app on iPhone

Hello - I can't sign in to the youtube app on my iphone 4; however, I can sign in to youtube from safari on the same iphone. I have gone through all the 2-step verification stuff and created an application specific password multiple times without success. The latest response I get when trying to sign in with the app is "YouTube Account Not Available. This YouTube account is currently unavailable. Try again later." After waiting, I still can't sign in to the app. Please help...so frustrated. Thanks!

I don't know about David, but it does not work for me. I am beyond give out. My google account username is my aol email address. Same as I use on my iPhone. Nothing has worked. Bother...

So, I decided to give it another try. Thought I'd try this idea, and lo and behold, when I clicked the icon, it just opened. No idea why.

For me, it finally worked when I signed in on the YouTube app with the full email address I have as my Google / YouTube login, not any other version of my user name. Good luck!

Hi all,

You shall generate application specific password in your google account if you have enabled 2 step authentification.
