Actually, the newer iDevices now draw more than .5 amps
Nobody claimed otherwise. The point I was agreeing with was "Apple devices will only pull 0.50 amps off most PC USB ports."
You did notice my post was made well over two years ago?
So you were/are aware that the max iPhone draw limit before the 6 was .5 amp? (Rendering your statement null based on post date - up until the release of the 6 😉)
Which was my point, nice try though 😎
By your stated logic, Tonefox should have known the iPhone 6 specs in August 2013... that would be quite a feat.
Your post was pointless and irrelevant to the original question.
You should probably reread the first post: iPad Charger for iPhone?
The answer is now yes, the answer before was no.
The newer generation iPhones draw an average of 2A, the standard chargers that still come with iPhones is 1A
Well done. Now if you had been here with your crystal ball back when the OP asked the question, you could have advised him to await the release of the iPhone 6. As previously stated, your post is totally irrelevant to the Original Post.
It couldn't have been that I had the same question and came across this thread while searching for the answer, and wanted anyone else in the future to know the current answer...
you guys are so funny when you get defensive.
