Looks like no one’s replied in a while. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question.

It appears you're not allowed to view what you requested. You might contact your administrator if you think this is a mistake.

I wanted email notifications for a specific discussion. When I got said email notification and clicked the 'View the full discussion' link, this is what came up instead of the discussion I was trying to follow:

That's funny because how am I supposed to contact 'my' administrator? I didn't even know I had one, lol! Can anyone help out a poor soul here?

That means that the hosts here have decided for whatever reason to pull the discussion.

I had a posting about methods for sorting photos using Aperture that has been removed. I recevied no email but have the "It appears you're not allowed to view what you requested. You might contact your administrator if you think this is a mistake." message. Of course there is no way to contact the "administrator" and Im desperate to keep reading what one of the users wrote down.

A general tip: If you start a discussion, and later on get this message, consider that it may have been someone else's contribution, rather than your own, that caused you to receive this message. In that case, the hosts will usually just remove that post rather than the whole thread. The thread receives a new URL, with only the appropriate replies in tact. Try using the search function on this forum, and search for the title of your thread.

If you started a thread and it was indeed your contribution that was an issue, you should receive an email.

It appears you're not allowed to view what you requested. You might contact your administrator if you think this is a mistake.
