Can an iPhone be encrypted?

Hi everybody,

Can an iPhone be encrypted? I keep reading these stories where police confiscate cell phones and download all the user data. Before i buy an iPhone i'd like to know if there is a way to encrypt it to prevent such snooping.

You didn't. I was responding to the other person. It says "in response to setotitan". Do you even know how to use this forum?

Yeah, I know about burners, etc. that was NOT the point. The point quiet simply was THE REASON WHY YOU SHOULD ENCRYPT YOUR IPHONE if you have one. Crime or no crime. Whether you're grandma Moses or Bonnie of Bonnie and Clyde fame. It wasn't about the best way to get away with a crime, lol. Am I speaking English here folks? **** forget the cops, encrypting your phone makes it harder for some little snot nose meth head who just stole your phone from getting all of your info off of it to steal your identity, etc.

Perhaps you don't?

What kind of remark is that? Obviously Meg St._Clair knows how to use this forum, why do you think Meg's got 34,085 points? Cause she's been helping people on this forum!

Also Meg St._Clair and SET0TITAN are, well to be blatant, right. You are creating drama and to be quite honest I doubt you know nothing of what you're talking about?

If you aren't going to be helpful then be a wallflower and let the people who know, get on with it.

I find it funny that you speak of them helping people. Especially considering me trying to help people with one simple post almost a year a half ago has set off a flurry of attacks by what appears to be every drama queen on this forum. I haven't seen this much drama over nothing since jerry springer was on TV.

If some of the people on here that have been posting replies are what passes for good help, I think I'd prefer to figure out my own solutions. It really doesn't take much to get some of you wound up, lol. I see a lot of humor in it. I could answer several of your so called points here, but why should I keep this immaturity going?
