Viber can't access Push Notifications

I deleted Viber from my Iphone 4, after it duplicated and scrambled the Viber address book. Reinstalled the App, and now get a error message saying "Viber can't access Push Notifications". Checked Settings/Notifications, and Viber is "On". Tried the solutions offered by other Iphone users a) Entered 8.8.8.8,8.8.4.4 into my wifi DNS. Does not work. b) Depressed the power button and home button at the same time to "force" the App. Does not work. c) Installed Ipush Test App. Does not work.

My phone is not jailbroken, Viber worked before, every App that uses Push Notifications work, reported the problem to Viber, no response!! Can somebody HELP me. This App is driving me CRAZY!!

Even though your shared solution is 9-10 months old, it was THE fix for my problem. It was the alert style which showed "none." When I changed it to "banners" the problem was solved.

I had this problem and tried everything - it came down to this one simple thing you have to do and it worked. Try the following:

Go to settings and notificcations and click on Viber - you HAVE to click on the icon that says Banners or Alerts. If you choose "none" Viber will not work even if you have all other areas turned on. Try that. Hope this helps your issue!

Hey i just installed viber on my iphone but unable to access it. i'm getting alert "Nofifications are OFF' . I tried every thing, did notifications on in setting gave banner or alert too but nothing works. 😟

A new, major update of Viber will be released very soon 🙂 When it's available, please try it out and let us know if the problem persists.

I recently updated my Viber on my iPod touch (4th generation, iOS 6.1.3) to 3.0.0 and when I tried to send a photo, it would hang for 5 minutes then crash. I tried to end the process and restart my iPod touch, but it would still do the same thing. My internet is fine and my other apps work perfectly fine. 😟 Please help!

Hi,

I have an Itouch 4, and everything works fine with Viber. But, when i go to lock screen and someone send me a message, my itouch lights up and shows the message, but there is no notification sound. Ive already did all the system preferences/push notification settings as asked, but it still doesnt work. Once in a while there is a sound but that is only sometimes... ive already tried reinstalling and restarting as well. How can i fix this?
