when i go to use my keyboard, it appears halfway up my screen no matter which way it is rotated, therefor i cant see what i am typing!! :@

You must have undocked it. Look at the bottom-right hand corner of your iPad keyboard. You'll see the keyboard toggle. Hold it and you'll see the options to Split and Dock. Click "Dock". It'll automatically go to the bottom.
Me too my keyboard is in the middle of my chat screen in whatapp, how do you return it to its original place??

I updated WhatsApp on 10/24 and then saw the problem on 10/27. Shows app up to date now with problem in evidence. I had to turn off the app and reopen it for the bar to move back down where it belongs.
what about for an iPhone ?
