Safari will not play Youtube videos!!!

I have an Intel Core 2 Duo 3.06 GHz Imac and I am running Snow Leoprad 10.6.8. The problem I am having is that since I recently uipdated Safari, I cannot run Youtube videos. Every time I try watching one, the page crashes. I know I am not alone here and I am surprised Apple has not approached this situation yet. I have tried running youtube videos on Firefox and have had no problems doing so, thus I figure it must be Safari. I've tried running safari in 32 bit mode and that has not helped. I have emptied the cache and reset Safari as well but still no go. Any suggestions would be wonderful.

Hello.

For me it looks like this is the new YouTube design (http://www.omgchrome.com/youtube-google-integration/) that causes an issue with the HTML5 trial and my Safari 6.0.2. If you really don't want to go back to Flash by leaving the HTML5 trial, it looks like opting-in for the Feather beta fixes the issue.

1. Go to http://www.youtube.com/feather_beta and join the "Feather" Beta.

2. Go to http://www.youtube.com/html5 and join the HTML5 Trial.

HTML5 video in Safari should be back. But you won't benefit from the new design (on video pages only, homepage and other pages are not modified by Feather).

From the Mac Runors Forum, it worked for me...

The cookie name was just youtube, but I deleted it and restarted safari and voila! it works!

Delete the cookie called youtube-nocookie.com then click Done.

Restart Safari and try again.

Worked for me - Hope it helps for you.

P.S. I see that cookie gets recreated when you log back in to YouTube, but the videos still work.
