How do you report Phishing to Apple.

This is third time I've asked how you report Spam to Apple. First time was 2009. I can not believe a multi-billion dollar company such as apple doesn't have a Place to report Spam. Banks do CC companies, do even other software companies do.

THis paticular piece has a persons name and address and Name sent to my email. if you hover over the links its obvious it’s a phishing attempt.

I think its bad Apple is being so cavilier about such a serious threat to their profits.

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.8), Apple ID.

Usually it's obvious... Poorly made website, bad english and/or grammar, asking for information you wouldn't expect to be asked for, pixalised imagines. There's lots of obvious red flags.

How do you know this isn't a phishing site? Well first off it's not asking you for anything and you didn't recieve the link in a spurious email. Secondly it's part of the apple.com domain, which of course we know belongs to Apple. Phishing sites usually have strange domains to say the least.

I don't know what else I can say really, it's just a knack of spotting them from experiance really.

This is the link to Apple Legal re: suspicious emails. First option when Googling: "apple phishing". https://www.apple.com/legal/more-resources/phishing/

It says, in part:

Reporting Suspected Phishing Attempts

If you receive what you believe to be a phishing email purporting to be from Apple, please send it to reportphishing@apple.com, a monitored email inbox, which does not generate individual email replies.

Forwarding the message with complete header information provides Apple with important information. To do this in OS X Mail, select the message and choose Forward As Attachment from the Message menu. For other email applications or webmail based services, consult your provider’s support information to determine how to forward messages with complete headers.

Additional Information Regarding Phishing

For more information about identifying legitimate emails from the iTunes Store, see Identifying legitimate emails from the iTunes Store.

For more information about identifying “phishing” emails, see Identifying fraudulent ‘phishing’ emails.

Reporting Other Suspicious Email

To report spam or other suspicious emails that you have received in your iCloud.com, me.com or mac.com inbox, please send them to abuse@icloud.com.

To report spam or other suspicious messages that you have received through iMessage, please send them to imessage.spam@apple.com with the requested information.

One might want to note that reportphishing@apple.com is what Apple says is the proper PHISHING reporting address. Other issues have other addresses.

I am running OS X Yosemite. The instructions for reporting phishing include this: Mail preferences; then to viewing; then show header detail. One is supposed to select All instead of Default. All does not appear in the dropdown, only default and custom. I went to custom and could not figure out how to proceed. I left it at Default and forwarded the message via regular email.
