Thank you. What you stated makes perfect sense. The company's IT environment is virtually 99.9% Microsoft driven. So I gather from your position and expertise that NORTON 360 on the Mac is not required, correct?
The regular contributors to the forum do not recommend any anti-malware, no Mac cleaners, and no memory cleaners, as they seem to bring people to the forums with system panic reports and slow performance issues.
How does Mac OS X protect me?

The Mac does a good job of protecting itself. And while nothing is perfect, Apple is doing a fairly good job of fixing their system.
I also had NORTON 360 originally install on a PC, but I had to reinstall the Microsoft operating software and NORTON could not recognize it, nor could NORTON's IT team reload the antivirus. Instead they told me to contact Microsoft, which I did, and 100 bucks later not even a Tech Level 2 from Microsoft could resolve the issue. So I no longer have the PC covered with NORTON, but I am using Microsoft Defender instead...and it works well enough.
While not a Windows person, I do pay a lot of attention to the computer industry (it is what pays my bills), and I have heard that Microsoft's current protections are also good enough to cover most situations.
And it never hurts to surf safely and not install any random junk, "Just Because" it was "Shiny" 🙂
The biggest threat vector is tricking Mac users into installing something. Either a scare message when surfing, or when they do want to install something an "Ad" on the download page that has a huge Green "Download" button that makes it look like the thing to press. They get Adware (such as Genieo) and since they were expecting to download and install something they proceed to install the Adware.
